Check what’s all in Gujarat

All across the world there was hullabaloo of economic recession, slow development and receding employment. But Gujarat is the state that in the year 2009-10 has seen 12.99% Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth against the target of 11.2% GSDP as set by the Planning Commission under the 11th Five-Year Plan (2007-12). This data has been revealed in the report of the government. So the state of Gujarat is keeping up very well even during recession and managed to clear it with more than expected growth.

State is the hub of industries, small to large companies and business houses. Major ports in Gujarat are the reason of this acting as a main center of trade and commerce since time immemorial. One of the first port across the world i.e. Lothal is located here. Three rivers i.e. Narmada, Tapi and Sabarmati are also the charm of the state. Along with this, it is a mineral rich state in India. Gujarat thus has all the natural resources that are required by the state to flourish. Along with this people here are very business oriented. Therefore with the collective efforts of all, economy of the state is the one of fastest growing economies in the country. Gujarat is responsible for 39% of the India's industrial output, it does 10% of the total mineral production, 67% of petrochemical production and 40% of all the pharmaceutical products are manufactured in Gujarat.

Now if we further look into the cities of the state, then Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda(Vadodara) and Rajkot are the major cities that churns out different industrial and consumer product for self consumption as well as for export. Surat is the fastest growing cities in India and Ahmedabad is at third number in terms of growth. Major industries in these cities are related to cotton, textile, chemicals, petrochemicals, gems and jewelry, dates, and peanuts. Also these cities are rich in agriculture and there most of the business works are through Gujarat tenders. Fertilizer is an indispensible part of agriculture that has numerous pest control tenders, fertilizer tenders and other Gujarat tenders.

Oil and natural gas are also present in abundance in the cities of Kalol Khambat and Ankaleshwar. Owing to this, these are at top of oil and natural gas production in India. Reliance Petroleum Limited, operates an Oil Refinery at Jamnagar. It is the largest grassroots refineries across the world. Reliance has also given an edge to the state with its special economic zone in Gujarat. The state is also the ranked number one in gas-based thermal electricity production. A thermal power station adorns Dhuvaran where coal, gas and oil are used.

Period of 1960-90 was the booming period of Gujarat when it had proved itself as a leader in numerous industrial sectors. Since then there is no looking back. Among all the private industries and growing sectors, Government of Gujarat has played a huge role in the overall development of the state. One of the major developments undertaken by the Government is the establishment of solar energy plant in the state with the capacity of 716 MW Solar Power. This has generated employment for at least 5000 people.

Key Government departments usually publish various Gujarat tenders. Gujarat State Seed Corporation Limited, Gujarat State Seep & Wool Development Corporation Limited, Gujarat Energy Development Agency, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited and Road and Building Department are few to name among the pool of others. All this results into great economic development.

Along with industrial developments, urban and infrastructural developments are also part of Gujarat for which it has 7 Municipal Corporations and 12 Urban Development Authorities operating in 159 Municipality areas.

Therefore in conclusion it can be said that Gujarat is an industrial and business oriented state that has also been blessed by nature with minerals, gems, rivers, ports and other natural resources to grow further.

Plan your Business Strategy in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is the “rice bowl” and the fourth largest state by area in India. Agriculture is the chief source of the state’s economy as well as employment. Apart from this, focus on Information Technology and biotechnology has also been done by the Government. With this period during 2004-05 had seen Rs.82,700 million IT export from Andhra Pradesh that reached Rs.190,000 million in 2006–2007. With this the annual growth rate in IT sector is 52.3%.

After this, service sector is also on spreading out spree making Hyderabad a hub for both information technology as well as service sector. Service sector now has 43% share in the total Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and given employment to 20% people alone in Hyderabad. This is the city where all the major IT companies like HCL, Genpact, Deloitte, IBM etc are located and playing huge role in the economy of the state.

Pharmaceutical and drug manufacturing is another sector that is burgeoning along with above mentioned fields. Almost 50% of the top pharmaceutical companies in India operate from Andhra Pradesh. Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, Matrix Laboratories Limited, Granules India Ltd are few to name.

Not only this but nature has also blessed the state with huge mineral and natural gas resources. Vast reserves of petroleum and natural gas are located at the Krishna Godavari Basin. Amount of coal reserves are also found along with these.

Among so much of infrastructure, businesses and growth one thing that is common is the electricity. In this also the state is not at all lagging behind. The Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) is putting great efforts in this sector. APGENCO has installed the third largest power utility plant in Andhra Pradesh with capacity of 8126.9 MW. It has also bagged the India Power Award-2009 as well as 2008, National Award for Meritorious Performance in Power sector under the category of Thermal Power Stations performance for the year 2008-09 and many more. There are various ongoing projects and many others in pipeline generating massive business for related industries in AP. Transformer tenders for power plants, security services Andhra Pradesh tenders, recreational services and other tenders for different projects are invited. Few of the major projects at present that invites Andhra Pradesh tenders are Kakatiya Thermal Power Project Stage-I, N.Sagar Tail Pond, Priya Darshini Jurala HES and Kakatiya Thermal Power Project Stage-II.

Among so much competition if you are planning a strategy for your business to get Andhra Pradesh tenders then you will have to be very careful. The strategy developed should be such that it surpasses the competitors and make you a clear winner. The first thing to keep in mind is the networking because no business can stand without communication and networking. You must have a strong base of this. Also you must have the details of your niche market, competitors and how the market is growing. So understanding the market in another key point. After this all other things like marketing, return on investment, financial viability, cause and effects, competitor’s activity etc must be taken into account while planning a business strategy.

All in all it can be said that Andhra Pradesh is a developing state with numerous job, business and growth opportunities. Just the right strategy will work for you to shape your career and growth in this blessed state of India.

Tamil Nadu Tenders - Grow with your Small Business

Located in the south most part of India, Tamil Nadu is a place where small businesses are flourishing under the canopy of business oriented policies and favorable natural conditions.  Because of huge industrial developments, the economy of the state is one of the most promising economies across India with the cost of Domestic Product over US $ 23 billion. Growth of small businesses in Tamil Nadu can be felt through the fact that in year 1991-92 total number of permanent registered units were 138404, which rose to 387597 during 2000-01 with the total investment of 11567.22 crores and production of 78261.66. These units have given employment to 2902122 people, which is a great achievement in itself.

In recent times huge number of investment proposals has been put forward leading to the growth of small business. Ancillary, food processing and textile are the chief small and medium enterprises in Tamil Nadu. The boost to the automobile industries is given by the big giants like Ford and Hynundai who have their main offices in the state.

If we look at different industries then handloom and handicraft industry of Tamil Nadu is well known across the world.  The quality of the fabric, its weave and type of embroidery is not found anywhere else. Owing to this reason business related to ready-made garments and hosiery has seem major growth. It has the maximum number of units in the state that are 89,464. This is followed by the manufacturing units and food processing units. Share of Tobacco and Tobacco products, Jute, Hemp and Mesla items and Beverages is below 1%.

Also most of the businesses in the state are related to agriculture as it is still the staple sector.  Along with general food industries, the industries related to processed and packed food are getting recognized as the demand for their products is mounting day by day. More and more number of cold storages for exporting the frozen vegetables and fruits are increasing.  Coimbatore and Chennai are the chief cities in the state where you can find business related to this.

Huge role in the development of small industries have been played by the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (TANSIDCO) that was established in 1970. It is working with the whole sole objective of developing Micro and Small Enterprises in Tamil Nadu.  With the unvarying and standard efforts of TANSIDCO, enormous expansion in infrastructure has been seen for the growth of small business.  In infrastructural development, roads, bridges, building and other civic building are considered. So Tamil Nadu bridge tenders are the part of these projects that come under the civil works and construction tenders in Tamil Nadu.  Through these bridge construction tenders, bridges across the valley, road, railroad, river or any other physical obstacles are constructed for the growth of small business as this provides easy transportation.

TANSIDCO from time to time keeps offering many other proposals and execute them with perfection.  Such as during 2008-09 proposal to develop 19 industrial estates have been made in Tamil Nadu by the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation Limited. Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District, Vichoor, Thiruvallur District, Thiruverumbur, Trichy District,  Alathur, Kancheepuram District are few to name in this. Many Tamil Nadu tenders proposals have been put forward for these huge projects that are won by the big to small companies in this sector leading to the growth and development.

Thus with the participation of Government and private sector the small and medium businesses are flourishing in the state leading to great economy and employment opportunities.
